‘Blue Bloods’ Star Vanessa Ray Reveals She Cried to Donnie Wahlberg After Seeing New NKOTB Video
Over the years, Blue blood fans have come to know and love the relationships between Donnie Wahlberg (Danny Reagan) and Marisa Ramirez (Maria Baez), as well as between Donnie and Vanessa Ray (Eddie Janko). As used as we are to seeing the actors in character from one of the oldest police procedurals, we can’t help but be stunned by their new collaboration.
On Thursday, March 3, New Kids On The Block (Donnie’s famous boy band) released a new music video to get fans excited for their 2022 Mixtape Tour, which kicks off in June.
The “Bring Back The Time” music video is meant to be a flashback to 1989 highlighting all of the decade’s most iconic music videos. It starts with NKOTB members appearing on stage wearing ridiculous wigs reminiscent of the 80s era.
After introducing the five band members, the video eventually (at mark: 46) cuts to a scene with Donnie front and center, sandwiched between none other than his Blue blood co-stars Marisa and Vanessa. All three actors are dressed in Club Kid-esque attire, and Marisa and Vanessa showcase “Thriller”-style dance moves in their multiple scenes.

Naturally, Blue blood and NKOTB fans are swooning over the new video. “Collaboration I didn’t know I wanted,” one fan commented on the YouTube video, which has now had over 1.3 million views. “I’m pleasantly surprised how amazing the song and video are. It’s a love letter to the 80s with all the music video references.
“I like it when celebrities have fun and don’t get too carried away [seriously]another fan wrote. “NKOTB has always been like this. Just another reason to keep being a Blockhead! Great song, and even greater video.”
But fans aren’t the only ones affected by the clip. Vanessa revealed on her since-disappeared Instagram Stories that she was too. “Big shoutout @donniewahlberg and @nkotb for bringing this joy into my life. I cried the first time Donnie showed us the final draft.
Suffice it to say, if you’re looking for a feel-good video to help you get through the week, this ’80s homage certainly fills the bill.
