Brian Murphy has been promoted to General Sales Manager for WCVB Channel 5. Murphy’s promotion was announced today by Kyle I. Grimes, President and CEO of WCVB Channel 5 and will come into effect later this year when the current General Sales Manager Andy Hoffman will retire after 40 years. years in sales management at WCVB. Murphy is currently WCVB’s local sales manager and will only be the sixth general sales manager in the station’s distinguished history. Murphy brings over two decades of media sales experience to this role. A 15-year WCVB veteran, Murphy has been Channel 5’s Local Sales Manager since 2009. Prior to joining WCVB in 2006 as National Sales Manager, Murphy held senior sales roles at WFXT-TV and Fox Sports Net. New England.
