Pearl Jam Teams Up With Samuel Bayer For The First Time In New Video For ‘Gigaton’ “Quick Escape”




Samuel Bayer is the man responsible for many of the most memorable and iconic music videos of recent decades, including Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, Blind Melon’s “No Rain” and other videos with artists such as Green Day, Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones and many more. So far, however, he hadn’t bonded with pearl jam.

The pairing finally happened for “Quick Escape”, a track featured on Pearl Jam’s 2020 album, gigatonwhich the group is finally able to promote on a world tour after a long delay caused by the pandemic (read our review of one of their LA shows here).

The video premiered on Thursday, tied to the band’s recent release of a tour edition of gigaton, with an additional disc of live recordings from the tour. Mixing stunt driving with performance footage of Eddie Vedder and his pals on stage, you can see it below:
