Hoichoi is an Indian video-on-demand and over-the-top subscription streaming service focusing exclusively on Bengali-language content. It is owned and operated by SVF Entertainment Pvt Ltd headquartered in Kolkata, India. It was launched on September 20, 2017. Hoichoi is currently available for Android, iOS, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Mi TV, LG Smart TV, and Samsung Tizen.

Currently, it offers more than 500 movie titles, including more than 100 movies produced by SVF and about 400 other movies. Apart from that, Hoichoi has over 1000 Bengali songs for audio streaming globally.

The family plan offers a one-year subscription at Rs 899 allowing connection to 8 devices. In addition, the Solo plan is offered at Rs 599 for 1 year allowing the connection to 5 devices.

Sun NXT (content from South India)

Sun NXT is an Indian video-on-demand service run by Sun TV Network specifically for South Indian content. It was launched in June 2017 and offers content in six languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi. The Sun NXT app is available for Android and iOS devices, smart TVs, and other devices. You can find blockbusters from Mollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood as well as Sandalwood.

Three subscription plans are offered to its users on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis at the price of Rs 50, Rs 130, Rs 490 respectively. The monthly and quarterly subscriptions will only allow one screen while the annual subscription will allow 4 screens.

Aha (Telugu)

Aha is an over-the-top streaming service that offers Telugu language content. It offers a wide range of movies and original web series in Telugu. However, the platform also offers English subtitles. It is owned by Arha Media & Broadcasting Private Limited and was launched on March 25, 2020.

Currently, Aha only offers two plans for users in India – Quarterly and Annual. The subscription costs you Rs 149 per quarter (90 days). For each year, one has to pay Rs 399 for membership. Other than pricing, the website doesn’t reveal anything about the number of supported devices in each plan. You can stream their content on multiple devices like your smartphone, laptop, tablet, and smart TV.

Aha includes the latest content like Unstoppable, Arjuna Phalguna, Hey Jude, and The American Dream.

Koode (Malayalam)

This OTT platform was launched in December 2020 by Studio Mojo. The service offers content only in Malayalam. Also, they offer original shows as well as popular web series curated from YouTube and other social media platforms.

Koode’s content is free. Koode users can stream movies and other shows for free online. Moreover, it is available on Android, iOS devices as well as Android TVs.

The latest content available includes Chiri, Vincent and the Popos, Aanum Pennum, Neripod and Kho Kho.

Stage (Haryanvi)

This platform offers Haryanvi dialect content including web series, movies, storytelling videos and more again for its viewers. Apart from Haryanvi, Stage also offers Rajasthani language content.

There are Haryanvi Songs & Comedy, Haryanvi Video, Haryanvi Folk Dance, Ragini Music, Haryanvi Singers, Latest Haryanvi Video Songs. You have to pay Rs 399 for 12 months of subscription. For 6 months membership will cost you Rs 299 and for Rs 3 months membership it will be Rs 199. At present, the app does not reveal any details apart from the pricing.

City Shore TV (Gujarati)

CityShor.TV is the first Gujarati OTT platform. It is a Gujarati entertainment platform to watch CityShor.TV Originals as well as Gujarati Web Series, Movies and Short Films.

This Gujarati OTT platform is owned by Ahmedabad-based lifestyle media company and was launched in October 2020. It is one of the top 10 regional OTT platforms in India. Moreover, the annual subscription is Rs 300 and the one-month subscription is Rs 100 with up to 6 devices supported. Details on both plans don’t reveal anything other than the price on the website.

Chaupal (Punjabi, Haryanvi and Bhojpuri)

Punjabi movie channel Pitaara TV launched its over-the-top (OTT) platform Chaupal last year. It provides entertainment content in three regional languages: Punjabi, Haryanvi and Bhojpuri.

In addition, Chaupal offers the latest and most popular movies, web series, podcasts, music, documentaries and original and exclusive entertainment content from India and the world. It can be viewed on mobiles, TVs, laptops or tablets.

Chaupal’s monthly plan starts at Rs 99 for a single screen. One can watch content only on mobile phones with 480p resolution. For two screens, there is the Premium Plan of Rs 799 per year. Here you can watch content in 1080p resolution. The third is a Rs 999 family plan allowing you three screens with 1080p resolution.

Latest content includes Panchhi, Please Kill Me, Malaal, Dustbin. Other content includes Rose Day in Punjab, Ucha Pind and Tut Pena Darji.

Planet Marathi (Marathi)

Planet Marathi OTT is an Indian video-on-demand and subscription media service that was launched in 2021 by founder and entrepreneur Akshay Bardapurkar. It is India’s 1st Marathi OTT platform with Marathi content such as Web Series, Movies, Music, Drama, Fiction and Non-Fiction Reality Shows.

Planet Marathi OTT is available for both Android and iOS operating systems in mobile devices, as well as Android TV and Amazon Fire TV devices. Moreover, Plant Marathi OTT platform comes with only one annual subscription plan. It comes with the subscription price of 365 per year in which you can watch all originals, all movies in the library in 1080p HD quality. There is no information about the number of devices in the plan.

Olly Plus (Odia)

ManoramaMAX combines the offerings of Mazhavil Manorama and Manorama News. It is an on-demand video streaming platform providing entertainment and news exclusively in the Malayalam language. The platform was launched on September 1, 2019 by Mammen Mathew, Editor and Managing Director of Malayala Manorama Group in Kottayam, Kerala. It is currently available on web, Android, iOS and Google Chromecast.

ManoramaMax has a plethora of entertainment content like videos of fiction, reality and other Mazhavil Manorama shows. There is only one yearly premium subscription (365 days) of Rs 699. You can even watch current shows on Mazhavil Manorama before they air on TV if you choose to upgrade to Premium. The content that falls under the premium subscription is Malayalam movies, MAX exclusives and early access to Mazhavil Manoram shows.
