“Traveling abroad to shoot music videos is not a wise financial decision” – Shatta Wale advises
Multi-award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, better known as Shatta Wale, gave advice to his colleagues who still travel abroad to shoot their music videos and come back empty-handed.
According to crooner ‘Gringo’, artists should focus more on ROI and do things that fit their budget with the sole aim of making a profit.
He explained that American rapper Jay Z is an internationally renowned rapper who chooses to stay in his country and shoot his music videos, but he still makes a lot of money with the little he puts into his music videos.
Shatta Wale has been accused by his fans of being double standards, as some of his fans have pointed out that he did the same when he went to the United States to shoot his gringo video and bragged that ‘it was one of the most expensive music videos.
Going to his Twitter page, he wrote: If I say Jay z then you are bored, he shoots videos in his area with what he has
You dierrrr you want to buy a ticket and travel to shoot and come back empty-handed abiâ¦
Think like a businessman and stop fooling yourself.
