YUNGBLUD Did THIS While Reuniting Mick Jagger, Shares How The Legend Influenced Him

YUNGBLUD may be new to the music industry, but his idols and musical references date back to the 20th century as he recently revealed that one of his idols is a rock & roll legend; who could it be?

Speaking to Billboard to promote his latest self-titled album, the ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ hitmaker said Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger was his biggest musical influence because he considered him his “everything”.

The reason he admires her so much is because of her work as a musician, activist, rock star, and sex icon.

The two have met before and YUNGBLUD couldn’t forget what he did when they first met, saying “I had a glass of whiskey, walked in – okay Mick how are you In my head, I was like ‘What the fuck*?'”

Jagger knows the young pop-punk rocker well as Uproxx reported that he once gave a shout out to him during an interview with P4, a Swedish radio station.

YUNGBLUD Says Internet Trolls Are The Reason Mac Miller Died

The recent revelation about YUNGBLUD’s encounter with Jagger comes after an interview with VICE where the singer opened up about internet trolls and haters.

Since his debut a few years ago, the musician has been the target of negative feedback as he continues to express himself through style and music.

Besides the way he dresses in concerts and music videos, YUNGBLUD said people also accuse him of being an “industrial factory” and a “queerbaiter.”

Even as he witnessed the grueling judgment the internet threw at him, the singer remained authentic with himself.

He noted that no one can define him in a category because he keeps “erasing conformity and erasing himself in boxing.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the “act like it” said netizens can be so mean to young artists, especially him, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and many others.

Furthermore, he also blamed Mac Miller’s death on online haters who continued to share negative comments about him.

Regarding his message to people who constantly criticize him, YUNGBLUD said that people should consider what other humans are going through personally, regardless of their popularity status in the industry.

“We need to be nicer to each other. We need to be nicer to the world,” he said.
